Chien, chat et furet
À compter du 04/10/2014, tous les animaux entrant sur le territoire Hollandais doivent être en possession d'une autorisation d'importation à présenter à la douane de l'aéroport de Juliana.
La demande d'importation se fait en déposant les documents (passeport du propriétaire de l'animal, certificat de bonne santé de moins de 14 jours et preuve de vaccin contre la rage) directement sur le site du gouvernement de Sint Maarten (cf les 3 liens plus bas). La demande est valable pendant 30 jours.
L'importation d'animaux domestiques (chiens, chats) est soumise aux conditions suivantes :
- Etre âgé de plus de 15 semaines
- Identification électronique
- Vaccins CHLP pour un chien ou TCL pour un chat
- Vaccination contre la rage en cours de validité
- Vermifugation 21 jours avant le départ
- Traitement antiparasitaire externe (Amblyomma sp., Boophilus sp) dans les 14 jours avant le départ (cf paragraphe 3.e.)
- Certificat sanitaire international, rédigé en anglais, validé par un vétérinaire officiel, moins de 14 jours avant le départ, avec précision des vermifugations (date et molécule utilisée).

CONDITIONS OF IMPORT FOR DOGS, CATS and FERRETS INTO ST. MAARTEN
- The animal is 15 weeks of age or older.
- The animal must be accompanied by a valid official International Health Certificate issued by an accredited veterinarian and endorsed by the local Competent Authority. St. Maarten is not part of the European Union; pet passports are not valid as an International Health Certificate.
- The International Health Certificate must attest that;
- The animal has been vaccinated against Rabies with at least 21 days but no longer than 12 months to 36 months prior to departure.
- The dog has adequate levels of immunity conferred by being actively immunized against the following diseases: Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Bordetella and Parvovirus.
- The cat has adequate levels of immunity conferred by being actively immunized against the following diseases: Feline Leukemia, Feline Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calcivirus, Feline Panleukopenia, Feline Pneumonitis and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus.
- The animal is free of internal parasites as determined by a negative fecal flotation test. If the animal is tested positive for internal parasites, then it should be treated 21 days prior to departure with a registered medication as instructed by the manufacturer. (Mention the date, time and the product used on the health certificate).
- The animal is free from external parasites particularly Amblyomma sp. and Boophilus sp. The animal(s) should be treated with a parasiticide (eg. Frontline, Certifect, Nexgard, Advantage, Bravecto) within 14 days prior to departure. (Mention the date, time and the product used on the health certificate).
- The animal(s) is/are free from observable cutaneous diseases.
- The animal must be registered electronically with an ISO (International Standards Organization) microchip, or a readable tattoo applied before July 2011. The number must be mentioned on the health certificate.
- The importation of dogs and cats from South and Central America (excl. Suriname), is prohibited
- The importation of a pit-bull terrier type dog which must be neutered or spayed, is permitted and this information must be indicated on the International Health Certificate.
- THIS PERMISSION IS VALID FOR THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF ISSUE.AND IS ONLY VALID WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF COUNTRY SINT MAARTEN.
- ALL INTERNATIONAL HEALTH CERTIFICATES MUST BE IN DUTCH OR ENGLISH. FOR ANY OTHER LANGUAGE, IT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION INTO DUTCH OR ENGLISH.
